BBS GAME DOORS

What's a BBS DOOR?

In the world of BBSes a DOOR is an external program executed within the BBS.

Basically it works like; The BBS software starts the external program (DOOR), and the door system passes data back and forth between the door program and the the BBS, and finally the remote user gets the results into the screen.

DOORs were created for many different purposes (chat, games, time banks, dating services, BBS Lists) and though the firsts DOORs only allowed a single user running the DOOR at time, the latest DOORs are almost all multiplayer, which is really useful for chats and games.

Which BBS DOORs are available at datavase BBS?

Through datavase BBS is not a DOOR focused BBS, I have added some games and tools, because everybody needs to have some fun sometimes.

Here is just the list, below you will find a detailed description (with some screenshot) of each DOOR.

Why you do not register your DOORs?

As I mentioned above, datavase BBS is not a DOOR focused BBS, and registering those games costs some money. Hence, I do not have the games registered. But I would do it if enough people shows interest on playing those games at datavase BBS.

How do I access to the DOORs in datavase BBS?

Piece of cake...

First remember that the DOORs only work on a Telnet session, so connect to telnet://bbs.datavase.info
Once logged in with your registered user (if you do not have a registered user, check here), you will see the Main Menu.
In the Main Menu, press X for External Programs.
Then press 2 for Games, and you will se the list of available games
